Our agency is a totally optional service and does not effect normal classes in any way. However, for those pupils who are interested in taking part in professional work the opportunity lies here. (However, pupils must have attend our Theatre School for a minimum of 1 term before we are able to recommend individuals for professional work)
Professional work can include anything from Catwalk-modelling, Photo-shoots for media work, T.V Acting roles, Feature Films, Commercials to Professional Westend Theatre work. Acting Up has seen a large increase in the number of pupils receiving professional work on a regular basis!

Opportunity’s have included voice over work for a new animation cartoon with CBBC - Magic Baby.
Darrall Macqueen Limited are a BAFTA award winning Children’s TV Production Company and have just been commissioned to make 26x 11 minute episodes of a new CBeebies show called Magic Baby.
Magic Baby is about a baby called Jake who goes on magical adventures with his 6 year old brother, Ivan. A mix of photo montage animation and live action, the show is a happy "hyper-real" mix of baby Jake in vision and his brother Ivan as narrator and translator of Jake’s baby talk! Thank you to all our boys who took part.
Kyle Hughes, Sam Huthart and Peter Dyers who were cast in leading roles for the film ’The Angel’ that is to be produced by Gate2productionsLtd. The film tells the story of Danny a lonely North East lad and the adventures he faces. Kyle Hughes was cast as Danny, Sam Huthart as Bill and Peter Dyers as Eddie. The film will be made at pinewood studios and will air in coming months. The Angel a story of love, hope and faith. Let’s hope it’s a big box office hit!!!!
Serena Ramsey & Kelsey Rushworth with their recent success with CBBC. Acting Up invited pupils to audition in Byker for a new show called Mission 2021. Serena & Kelsey were successful and spent several week filming in Scotland. Mission 2021 will be shown later this year on CBBC.
Well done to all those pupils and parents who took part in Copy Cats for CBBC (particularly Jack Salkelds family). The series will be recorded in the front of a studio audience at BBC Scotland in June/ July. The show will be broadcast on CBBC later in the year.
Sam Chadwick who this Summer will feature in commercial with 55 degrees based in Scotland.
Jack Foley and Peter Dyers who this summer will featured in a documentary about the Romans, filming took place at The Roman Fort and was produced for Welsh TV.
Cery Hallam who was cast in a '’Live Forever’. Filming took place around the North East. The film is about a boy called Sam who is dying from cancer and he befriends another boy Felix and together they make a list of all the things they want to do. Cery was involved in a number of scenes on the set at Shotley Bridge Hospital and is looking forward to doing more TV work.

Many of our pupils have taken part in T.V commercials the most recent being for ITV featuring the Winter Gardens in Sunderland, the commercial ran for 6 weeks.

Our most recent voice over work has included an animation advert for the North East Regional Assembly, where Ryan Wright aged 8 years and Martin Forsyth aged 13 years attended Studio 20 in Golden Square London to record the voice of a young boy cartoon character, the advert features Ryan asking his Mother questions on the way home from school. The advert will go live in September.
